The official website for Threads is www.threads.net, and it is worth noting the domain extension choice for this ambitious Meta project. While some may find it surprising, the utilization of “.net” signifies that the coveted “.com” version may not have been obtainable during the project’s inception. It is plausible that the existing owners of the “.com” domain were either unwilling or unavailable to engage in negotiations with Meta. Despite this, there has been no official indication from Meta regarding their pursuit of a “.com” domain for the Threads social media community.
